Permalinkwe'd not have a polluted, warring, viciously exploited planet
with so much misery and hopelessness?
It would seem then that souls inhabiting human bodies make for
much mayhem on Earth.
What would be the damage done by souls without bodies?
Apparently, none.
So, are we to imagine our bodies are the "filth" that corrupts
souls?
And so why is that? Why would a Creator desire to wreck this
beautiful natural world with bodies? And menace each other?
Would it not be comprehensible that Earth would be much better
off had that Creator skipped bodies for souls to possess?
Was it a cosmic mistake for God to have created human bodies?
Would it not been better for souls to have existed without bodies?
When I had what I suspect was an OOBE at age 14 it felt so
tremendously wonderful and satisfying that I didn't want to
return to my sleeping body. Of course, as a soul, would I
have had a UFO club, an automobile, sex, enjoyed Twinkies, done any
writing, etc.? No bodies: no artistry, architecture, photography,
etc. No movies, music. No bicycling, swimming.
It would appear that just being a soul means missing out on a
cornucopia of physical delights. Yet it is true we'd not be mutilated,
killed, lost our loved ones, had Nature destroyed, had riots, mass
killings, rapes, molestation, tortures, thieving, vandalism, ad nauseam.
The atomic and H-bombs.
If humans were created in the image of their Creator, does it desire
to experience the physical delights it cannot otherwise have being
an ethereal (or nonphysical entity)?
Is it a highly narcissistic god out there?? It's said in the OT he's
jealous god and will not tolerate worship of any other god. And gets
awfully violent if he's ignored. LOL!
